Having recently experienced  red tide in our oceans and then the beauty of Bioluminescence at night.
The painting reminds me in a way of something of beauty born out of something not so beautiful. 
Like beauty born out of imperfection. As red tide and Bioluminescence is actually a byproduct of algae and toxins.
